What Kind of Masonry Work Do We Do?

Pretty much anything that involves brick, stone, or chimney. Here’s what we’re out fixing every week across NYC.

Brick & Stone Repairs That Last

  • Tuckpointing and repointing – we match your old mortar, not just slap in something close
  • Lintel replacement – those rusted steel beams above windows and doors

  • Facade restoration – especially for landmark brownstones in Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, and Bed-Stuy

  • Parapet wall rebuilding – we can also help pull the DOB permit if needed

Questions We Get All the Time

What’s the going rate for tuckpointing in Brooklyn per square foot?

Usually between $15 and $30 per square foot. The price changes with scaffold access, how hard the mortar color is to match, and how high up we’re working. We’ll give you a free breakdown.

Can you help with a sidewalk violation notice from the city?

Yes – and we do it all the time. We repair or replace the damaged section, schedule the DOT inspection, and give you the paperwork to close out the violation.

How many weeks for a brownstone cornice restoration?

Most are finished in 1 to 3 weeks. That includes scaffold setup, the actual restoration, and final waterproofing. If the Landmarks Commission needs to review, add another two to four weeks.

Are you really insured for shared walls in row houses?

Absolutely. We carry $2 million in general liability plus workers’ comp. Most co-op and condo boards won’t let anyone in without it.
